Homeless Services
Since 1992, ADC has operated Abyssinian House, affectionately known as Abby House, a 25-unit Tier II Family Transitional Residence, which provides shelter and supportive services for families in the NYC homeless shelter system.
Abby House staff provide comprehensive programs and services in a family-centered approach to case management and make appropriate referrals to residents through a process of assessment, consultation, engagement, intervention and follow-up; our collaboration with other community-based organizations enhances our services to at-risk families.
